Today, Years 5 & 6 made the short walk up to St. Margaret's to visit some of the monks and nuns at the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery to support the learning of their current R.E. topic. It was a fantastic opportunity to see how the monks and nuns live as well as learn more about their beliefs. As is always the case, our children were well-behaved, respectful and asked insightful questions.
We will be using the knowledge gained on our trip create our own books (using the ipad app, Book Creator) about the knowledge and understanding we have gained about Buddhism.
