This half-term, the school had a review with a representative from the Local Authority. The purpose of the visit was to identify the progress the school is making against our Ofsted priorities. I am pleased to share that the outcome for the school was extremely successful. There are only three possible judgements that can be made during this kind of review: Inadequate, Reasonable or Good. The judgements made for our school were as follows:
Ofsted Priority |
LA Review of Progress to date |
Build on the improvements that have already taken place in teaching and improve it still further. |
Good |
Ensure that all groups of pupils make better progress in writing. |
Good |
Develop the role of staff responsible for leading different aspects of the school’s work. |
Good |
Improve the rate of progress of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs. |

This excellent result is due to the commitment and hard work from our team of staff and governors coupled with our brilliant partnerships with parents and, of course, the excellent work from the children! Sincere thanks to all. I can say with confidence that the future is bright!
