Olympic Champion Visits Great Gaddesden

11th December 2015

On Tuesday of this week, we were fortunate enough to receive a visit from Mitchell Camp, a past pupil of Great Gaddesden. Earlier this year, Mitch competed in the Special Olympics in Los Angeles (bringing home three Olympic medals!) and he came into school to talk to us about his experiences.

Mitch is a genuinely incredible individual who has truly inspired us.  As identified by the children, Mitch is the epitome of 'Perseverance' and it was a fantastic opportunity for us to meet him and hear about his success.

On his presentation, Mitch shared a really powerful quote that struck a chord with many of us:

"Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
