Remembrance Day

11th November 2015

Before half-term, we had a visit from Shaun McCarthy from The Royal British Legion, who spoke to the school about the significance of the poppy and the First World War. Since then, children in Year 6 have been selling poppies and poppy memorabilia to raise funds for individuals who have fought in the armed forces and their families.

On the 11th November, children in Years 3 - 6 will observe the 2 minute silence at the war memorial in the church-yard.
