This morning, despite some heavy cloud cover, the whole school went out onto the playground to see if we could see the solar eclipse. Mr and Mrs Coyles had kindly loaned us their telescope and we were planning to project the shadow onto a white-board. To support our safe viewing of the eclipse, Years 5 & 6 had made pinhole projectors which they shared with the rest of the school.
Unfortunately, we didn't have much success on the playground, however the 'Stargazing Live' website gave children an opportunity to see the incredible phenomenon as it was happening.
