Earlier this term, the school hosted a meeting with parents to share some of the changes implemented by the new curriculum, as well as changes to assessment procedures at Great Gaddesden C of E School.
Parents heard about the higher expectations that have been introduced by the new curriculum and had an opportunity to see some of the sample KS1 and KS2 assessment materials prepared for 2016.
In addition to this, we shared how the school will measure attainment and progress now that levels are no longer in use. We are basing our assessment materials around the Hertfordshire model which allows us to moderate effectively with other schools as well as identify where there are strengths and areas to develop within particular units of work.
