Recently Mr Dickson passed away. Mr Dickson was an extremely highly-regarded member of our school community. As well as teaching chess at the school for many years, he also spoke to the children on Remembrance Day each year and shared the work of the British Legion. Last year, the children of Great Gaddesden School helped Mr Dickson to celebrate his 100th birthday. He was truly a remarkable man who we all had much to learn from. A prayer for Mr Dickson written by Oscar:
Dear God,Please let Mr Dickson stay in our hearts forever.
Let there be no pain for him to cry about; no fear for him to whimper about.
Please keep him safe from sins.
