Welcome to Great Gaddesden Church of England Primary School
Welcome to Great Gaddesden C of E (VA) School. We are a happy, inclusive and vibrant village school with close connections to the parish church. We are a 'small-school' with a 'big heart' and aim to provide all of our children with a 'great start'.
Our school community is made up of enthusiastic and hard working children, staff, governors and supportive parents/carers.
Our school community is made up of enthusiastic and hard working children, staff, governors and supportive parents/carers.
We are a voluntary aided school with a distinctive Christian character. At the heart of our vision is our mission statement 'treat others exactly as we would like to be treated', inspired from biblical scripture (Luke 6:31).
The Sunday Times 'Good school guide 2025' ranked Great Gaddesden School as being in the top 30 of small state primary schools nationally. Ofsted last inspected the school in January 2026 and we got the 'green light' in all areas. Six areas were at the 'Expected Standard' and we were judged to have met the 'Strong Standard' for Personal Development and Well-being. As a Church school, we are also inspected by SIAMS who last inspected the school in July 2025 and we received a Judgement One/J1. A copy of both reports can be found below.
If you are considering a school for your child, please get in touch with us on 01442 255734. We welcome children age 3-11 and have an active Nursery (providing both 15 and 30 hours provision) within our Early Years setting. We also have a copy of our prospectus listed below.
We hope you find the information you are looking for. However, please get in touch if you require any help.
