We are delighted to provide weekly 'Forest School' opportunities for our pupils to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in the natural environment. Our beautiful rural setting gives us the opportunity to use our local environment for these sessions, in addition to our school grounds.
Our pupils take part in a range of inspirational activities from shelter building and woodland crafts, to cooking on open fires. Such experiences and supported risk, allows our children to become resilient, independent and creative learners.
We have two qualified level 3 Forest School leaders:-
- Mrs Ansell
- Mrs De Rouffignac
Forest School sessions take place regularly, regardless of the weather! The school provide waterproof dungarees for all children and they bring their own waterproof coats and wellies.
